Being in this COVID-19 experience now for the past eight months, and moving into the ninth, we as a local, national, and global society are moving into unprecedented times.  The constant censoring of so-called conspiracy theorists by Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter definitely raises some major red flags in regards to who has the right and power to suppress another person’s freedom of speech and expression.  It was just a few months ago when the esteemed Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine had to recant published scientific research because the researchers who were credited had publicly stated that they were not involved with the research of hydroxychloroquine.  What gives?

The constant pervasive fear of COVID-19 and rising case numbers that are constantly being maintained by the mainstream media and government officials in Hawaii, is contrary to the fact that there were more deaths between January and September 2019, deaths between January to September 2020.   Check this link ( confirm this claim from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

Although the government is checking for the rising case numbers, there is no differentiation and reporting of asymptomatic individuals versus symptomatic individuals that require hospitalization, to my knowledge.  So why are we afraid of a virus when there are less deaths in 2020 than in 2019, and has created a near shutdown of our local economy?

Big pharm companies such as Pfizer, Astrazeneca, and BioNTEch are already claiming their COVID-19 vaccines are 95% effective, yet it’s only been eight months since the virus has been out, and there is still some speculation on if the virus was truly isolated.  You can confirm on your own to see that the fastest a vaccine (from its isolated form, through testing, and double-blind case studies) reached production, was just a little over four years.  I don’t know about you, but doesn’t the timing strike you as a bit odd and almost unbelievable, and maybe even inconceivable, that the COVID-19 vaccine is already being pushed to be ready for production in a fourth of the fastest time a vaccine has ever been isolated and brought to market?

I have many questions and I hope that some, or maybe all of you, are having concerns or questions of your own.  There is much conflicting information out there, and my question is who do you believe?

What led me to become a chiropractor was one night, long ago, I was frustrated, felt stuck, and was at my wits’ end, of what I was supposed to do with my life.  I sincerely asked, “God, Universe, Spirit what am I supposed to do?”

I got a resounding answer, “You will be a Chiropractor!”  When I asked, “What?” I incredulously got the same reply, “You will be a Chiropractor!”  My mind was flooded with all these visions, which seemed like slides of what was to happen in my life that moved faster and faster until I could not follow the visions.  I felt energized and alive, and the very next day I called up different chiropractic colleges and applied.  The rest is, as we say, history.

This inner voice that I heard, clearly was my soul or my true inner knowing that spoke loud enough for me to hear.  Following this voice has led me to my professional career where I have been in practice now for 21 fulfilling years, and I know I am still aligned with my life’s purpose.

In Napoleon Hill’s Outwitting the Devil, Hill talks about this inner voice, and if we choose to listen to it, it will guide us effortlessly to create and experience a life that is in the flow.  This inner voice is always speaking to us, but in order to hear this voice, we need to get out of our own way (there is another voice, which comes from a place of fear, uncertainty, and need of control and assurances).

I recently met this gentleman who shared the way he listens to his inner voice, by staying in whatever emotion he is feeling.  At a certain point he will hear his inner voice’s prompts.  When he follows the prompt he is certain and everything unfolds miraculously and serendipitously.  When he doesn’t he experiences more pain, disappointment, and suffering.

The purpose of my sharing the importance of listening to your inner voice is that it will guide you during these uncertain and challenging COVID-19 times.  No one knows you better than you, so the time is now to create an unshakeable relationship with yourself and your body.  Tune in to your body signs that are your definite YES’ and your absolute NO’s!

Discovering your truth and honoring it, will be your lifeline during potential future lockdowns, stricter government mandates, authoritarian enforced guidelines, and other fear inducing stories by the mainstream media and government.  Remember that you have the power to choose to be centered in your knowing or to relinquish your power and be in fear of what may happen next.  Start to ask questions and think critically to see if what you are being instructed to do feels right or not.  I have learned through the years that anytime you make a choice based on fear, it never works out.  Dial in to your inner voice of knowing and navigate these challenging times with more ease and confidence.  Your truth is all that matters.  Listening and following anything that is not aligned with you is clearly the wrong path to take.
